On May 7, 2026, the European Parliament and Council of the EU reached a provisional agreement to reform the AI Act, as part of the Digital Omnibus package. With the EU AI Act's August 2, 2026, enforcement date looming, the AI Omnibus will delay enforcement of several key requirements and modify the requirements themselves. Additionally, new draft guidance has been published about the classification of high-risk AI systems and obligations around transparency and watermarking.
On April 29, 2026, the UK ICO finalized its guidance on storage and access technologies (SATs) under PECR and the 2025 Data (Use and Access) Act. The guidance introduces new consent exemptions for analytics and user preferences — but with strict purpose limitations that make them narrower in practice than they appear. At the same time, PECR penalties have increased to align with UK GDPR: up to £17.5 million or 4% of global turnover.

- Select “Non-IAPP Event or Online Program (web conference): Attendee” or “CPE/Other” on the Activity drop-down menu
- Choose the applicable certification(s) you would like to submit the CPE credits for
- Enter the date of the event and the number of CPE credits earned. In the Notes section, add the title of the event
- Hit submit! The credits are immediately added to your account
